HP Recommended
830 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to set up a HP 830 G5 with a KVM I have and have tried 3 HP docks to no avail. None of them are able to transmit video to the monitors via the KVM.

Some details:

Laptop: HP 830 G5

KVM: Aten CS1944DP (DisplayPort video - working fine for another desktop and Mac laptop I own)

Connectors: DP to DP cables (tried multiple brands, etc)

Docks tried:

HP 2013 Ultraslim Docking Station (2 different product numbers)

HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 Dock

Symptoms (for all 3 docks tried)

USB connection works (for mouse & keyboard)

Network cable detected and works

Power detected and chargers laptop

No video out from either DP from any of the 3 docks I've tried (if I direct connect to the KVM via the laptop without the dock it works fine)

EDIT: I use this same laptop at work with a 2013 ultraslim docking station every day with no problems. The only difference is they are HDMI monitors so use DP to HDMI cables from the dock (and no KVM). The KVM I'm using has DP inputs.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've updated firmware and I've downloaded drivers (about 5-6 different ones suggested in various places around the forum).

Why won't HP docks work as expected?

Thanks for your help.
