Product: Spectre Folio

I had my laptop leather casing repaired (due to splitting) during the warranty period and then a year later the leather split again. HP was kind enough to repair it for me back in May2020. After only 3 months the leather has split again and it has never been in a laptop case - this is starting to get annoying. Is there a case or a quick fix that i can use to prevent this from getting worse?
