HP Spectre x360, HP USB-C Travel Dock
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have the 2017 HP Spectre 15-bl012dx, and I recently puchased the USB-C Travel Dock. Whenever connecting this to either USB-C port and connecting an ethernet cable, the internet runs very very slowly, to the point that browsing the web is nearly impossible. In addition to the ethernet cable, there is an hdmi cable outputting to a television set, as well as a controller adapter (for the PS4 dualshock 4 controller) and a USB 3.0 HDD. I've tried every combination of connecting/removing other items, but the ethernet runs slow no matter what.

I also have a USB-C to ethernet adapter (not sure what brand, but it's not HP) that works wonderfully, so I'm sure it must be an issue with the travel dock itself. My Spectre does have some other issues with network adapters, however, for example bluetooth mouse and keyboard taking up to five minutes before they'll connect when turning them on, and the fact that it cannot detect 5 GHz wifi networks (even though it should)... so I really am not sure.

I have uninstall/reinstalled any driver I can think to do. Is this an issue anybody else has had?
