Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I need to know what kind of multi-port adaptor i need to be able to make more usb ports. I have one that doesnt seem to work properly. I can plug my mouse into it and it will only work on my computer - It will not carry over to work on my display.. hdmi connected. Im not sure if I got the wrong kind. My first mistake was buying from WISH - clearly stated "computer splitter" in description - but just as clearly.... it is not!! And wont even charge more than one device in a sufficient {and reasonable} amount of time. Please help this unknowing mere mortal before I buy another one.
