HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC with BIOS Version F.02 and this version does not support AHCI. I need a BIOS version that supports AHCI because I purchased a Crucial MX500 1TB SSD and I cannot get the dv6 to recognize the drive. HP Support Assistant application says there are no BIOS updates available... there *has* to be a BIOS version available dated later than 10/3/2011... even if there are no 'officially supported' BIOS versions available. This is a very capable system and I'd hate to have it be made obsolete by it's iniability to support a modern hard drive...

If there is no BIOS update solution available, would appreciate any tips or suggestions for getting the SSD I purchased installed with my current system specifications.
