Product: HP Chromebook 14

For several weeks I have been having trouble with my touchpad & prompt.....It works fine just after starting but about 5-10 minutes later it starts becoming slow and then unresponsive. Also often when I "click" something random menus will come up on the screen on the right.......I have tried many things like restarting,powerwash,clearing browser & cookies,etc but these have not helped.....Aside from this it seems fine......good wifi connection,internet comes up quickly.......no other issues. Any help is much appreciated!
