HP EliteBook 840 G5 Notebook PC

Hi, the USB ports on my laptop is giving around 5.30volts (5.32 to be precise). While this is not a significantly higher number, the flash drives are overheating from the higher voltage and some have died. I have other desktops and laptops at home and office and they are behaving just fine. The desktop at home is giving 5.02volts which keeps the flash drives cool even when connected for over 48 hours continuously. But the laptop heats up the flash drives in just 30 minutes or so. While some flash drives can endure this, some have gotten fried. How can I fix this situation?
