@gbgolfer
Hi,
Try to use Everest to check GPU temperature in XP.
08-27-2010 06:44 PM
Everest's trial version doesn't support GPU temps.
FWIW - CPUID reported temps for about everything except the GPU, which makes me think that the driver I have (8.6.3.8 dated 9/27/2006) doesn't support temp sensors.

Hi
Using this guide has worked great but I am having a serious problem.
Windows 7 installs fine and will allow me to restart a few times but at some point when I shut down then it wont restart and goes to Revovery Options. This has happened a few times so I did your intructions again and just left the computer in that state (no more software). Shut down at night and would not start up in the morning. With the start up recovery I try all the options
Start up Recovery just runs and runs and if it does finish it says can not fix anything
System restore - I saved a restore point but the computer cant find my OS so wont work
Just today I went to do your instructions again and went to clean install and it shows my hard drives as being empty!
This is driving me crazy and now am re installing and will try to find as many drivers as possible (I see nVidia list some on their own website). But any suggestions?
I have a DV9311eu
Thanks

Hi,
For sure it will be good to test HDD first.
In below guide you will find all informations how you may do this:
How to test RAM and HDD (Hard Drive).
If with HDD everything will be ok please test your RAM too.

@Dandiel,
My gpu and cpu temperature for new nvidia driver is the same as for driver 181.71, so it's 'normal' in that sense. Wondering if anyone have a dv9700t and have the same problem here?

Hello!
I cant seem to get bluetooth in WIn 7 working.
I have followed the instructions as explained in the bluetooth instalation guide with the onlz difference tha windows got to install fisrt their own driveers and then i updated them with the ones from HP.
The problem is that the bluetooth device is installed and seems to be working it cannot locate my phone or my mouse.
These devises are visible from my other laptop so there has to be something that isnt installed correctly. Should i do a new setup of windows and install the hp drivers before windows gets to intall its own???
Thx in advance:)

Dear Daniel,
You post is great. If I knew it before I had been installed my Win 7 and I had a lot of trouble, and maybe there is an information about RICOH Reader maybe you can share with all. In my case I have model dv6449us with AMD, when I use the upgraded version of this driver from windows upgrade I had a problem when I was shutdown, it appears a black screen the problem was that was a conflit with the new version of driver RICOH card Reader, so I decide to downgrade to the VISTA version and I disable this upgrade from the windows upgrade manager and the problem was solved.
Can I do you a question?
I would like to know if we can install the HP Recovery Manager in the Win 7 because I guess it very useful tool?
Thank you so much,
Ricardo Marques

Hey, I have a HP DV6000 and have recently done a clean install of windows 7. I've managed to get all the other drivers working successfully, but am having problems with the webcam. The webcam does not appear in device manager. And despite downloading sp43513 and sp45825 I am still unable to use my webcam.
If I go into swsetup and into the sp43513 and sp45825 folders and open the setup.exe it attempts to install but then generates the following error message:
Error 2711. The specified Feature name ('Driver_Win7_32') not found in Feature table.
I've been trying to get this camera installed for ages now, starting to pull my hair out haha.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
