I have an old HP6700 Officejet that I used to use in college. Now that I've moved (many years later) I want to start using it again, but couldn't find the cords/adapters that came with the original. The printer is intact and has not been damaged. I bought an adapter and cords on Amazon, but the printer still doesn't turn on. I've tried multiple outlets-I believe it's the adapter since it's indicator light doesn't turn on when I plug it into any outlet, but I have no way to know if it's the adaptor, or the printer just doesn't work anymore.
I've tried two of the same adapters from Sonker/amazon, and would like to try a different/better one, but don't know where to look or what to buy. The adapter fits the qualifications directed for this printer (in terms of V and mA), so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I'd love not to buy a new printer.
Any advice on where/how to buy a new adapter that will work with the printer, or to test if it's the printer and not the adapter, would be great.
Thanks!
