Designjet 800

I am getting an 79:04 error on a designjet 800. I had this exact problem with this very same machine one year ago (almost to the day). It prints fine until the carriage goes to retrive the cutter. That is when the error occurs. I have isolated the printer and have updated the firmware. The last time this happened, it was resolved by replacing the printheads. Tried that again, but did not help this time. None of the printheads are after market, when the menu button is depressed i get the following message  Assertion: failed. -  Task: iterrupt. -  File: carmotor.c - Line: 2364.

It even does it on form feed/ cut. Error appears when cutter is reached by carriage. Any help would be appreciated.
