Hi there,

I have been troubleshooting my HP Officejet 4500. There are two issues...

USB Connection:

When I print from the USB connection I get a USB malfunction notification. I do have a new macbook air and the USB has to be attached through a lighting port adapter.

Wireless Connection:

When I print via wireless, the printer shows up on the list, I hit print, it says printing page 1 0% and then give a printer is offline message. When I return to the printers page it reads "Error" with a yellow dot.

What I've tried:

I have reconnected the printer to the internet

I have unplugged and replugged power to the printer

I have restarted my computer

I have reset all printers from my computer and added the printer from scratch

I have reset my modem

I factory reset the printer and went through the initial set up. (Note the cartridge alignment prints just fine).

I have installed the HP drive software over again (3 times)

Hoping someone can help me figure this out. The printer is in great shape and I would love to be able to use it.
