For years, I had my printer connected directly to my router via ethernet and accessed it wirelessly through the router. We moved. I have plugged the printer into the new router, green lights show on both ends. but the printer does not show up on the printer options. I think there was a process involving connecting the printer directly to a Mac with a print cable in order to configure it to be recognized by the network, but I cannot find such directions on the HP site. HP also no longer supplies drivers for later versions of the macOS, but I was able to find the latest driver for this printer on the apple support website, and have loaded it into my computer. Yes, this is a legacy printer, but it is still a good printer that has served me well for years. Any help would be appreciated. So far, HP Smart has not been helpful at all. It cannot communicate with the printer.
