Color LaserJet 4700

So, I'm looking for older firmware updates for the Color LaserJet 4700.  It appears as though I'm going to need and older version in order to install the latest version, in order to rectify an issue a user of ours is having with their 4700.

Unfortunately, HP only offers the most recent version of the firmware on their support page, and while forum topics that I have found on the web point me to various off-site resources, I gotta say - that's absolutely unacceptable, HP.  If you're going to make people do multiple firmware updates in order to update to the latest version, then YOU should be hosting them, and you should probably be publicly showing the SHA256 checksums for these files, as well.

I can't trust that what was uploaded to SoftPedia or "HelpDrivers" a bajillion years ago is bit-for-bit identical to the file that I need, and it's pretty shameful that I have to resort to that in order to MAYBE get an updated version.  No self-respecting I.T. professional worth their salt should do that, and by extension, no serious company that purports to be serious about their customers' security should be pushing I.T. professionals to do that.

Any HP reps wanna comment on this, maybe push it up the chain so that this gets solved and HP establishes a reliable site for self-help for older model printers?
