Product: ScanJet 4890
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

One of the primary reasons I purchased my ScanJet 4890 is the ability to scan slides, negatives and transparencies. The scanner still works under Windows 10 in scanning photos and documents but I recently attempted to scan a photo negative and could only get a scan from the glass (reflected light). It appears that neither HP's HPScanExt nor Windows Scan tool have the ability to scan using the backlight on this scanner.


Someone please tell me I'm misinformed and just need to push some button or install some software to get this feature working.
