Scanjet Pro 3000 S3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Scanner has worked great until last few weeks. First the computer couldn’t find it. Unplugged usb after shutting down, replugged and got the blue screen of death. Disconnected all of it, uninstalled and reinstalled. No diver update required when I checked. Worked fine for couple weeks but makes me nervous so I unplugged until HP could take a look. Today I reconnected and same thing happened. 
All other devices work fine. 
what do I do in order to use this scanner without crashing my PC.
