Hi all,
I have an MFP M283fdw and a problem with the scanner - it seems as though the scanning bar is in the wrong position - rather than being over on the very left hand edge of the flatbed, it's almost 2 inches in from the side which means that when scanning, I'm missing the first couple of inches of the document. It also has the additional annoyance that it completely misses anything coming in from the ADF - with the scanning bar out of position, it doesn't register the document or photo coming through the ADF.
I have tried installing/uninstalling/reinstalling software
set scanning size to whole available area/then a4 etc
scanning from printer
scanning from printer software
scanning from HP smart
rebooting the printer several times
factory reset printer twice
- nothing is working!
does it have to be dismantled and the bar readjusted by hand?
if so, does anyone know how to do this?
Please can someone help - it's driving me mad!?
Thanks for your time
