Re: Enhanced Mulmedia PS/2 Keyboard driver

I tried the idriver outlined above, twice, and failed. When I tried going ahead anyway, the resart screen after the install of the multimedia driver hung (for a long time, 15 minutes or more, at the "starting windows" screen with the Win 7 logo, which was fuzzy and never became clear. Eventually, I shut down the computer and did a hard reboot, which required the system to do a system restore. Thinking I did something wrong, I tried again with same result.

So either my computer is having a MS-HP fit, I did something totally off-base, or ???

Incidentally, I have a Pavilion s3120n with AMD Athlon and a clean install of Win 7 32bit.

Anyone have any further in put, Please?

Re: Enhanced Mulmedia PS/2 Keyboard driver

The 32 bit vista driver for your model should work on the Windows 7 32 bit

here is the one you want...try it

Re: Enhanced Mulmedia PS/2 Keyboard driver

I tried the driver but the install was aborted because of incompatibility probably meaning the Vista driver with my Win  7 computer. So...thanks for your help, anyway.

Re: Enhanced Mulmedia PS/2 Keyboard driver

Shinichi,

I'm in the same boat.  I posted a thread about the same issue and have not resolved it yet.  I plan to repalce my keyboard in the future but would like to have the full functions for now.  HP may resolve this but I don't think its a top priority.

Re: Enhanced Mulmedia PS/2 Keyboard driver

I recently started having the same problem and I used the sp4446 download and it works fine now-thanks for your help---I had upgraded to win7 form original Vista and for some reason I lost the functionality of the internet buttons, etc. They would not even show up as a folder option under keyboard from the control panel. This solved the problem. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!
