Are you typing the PN and SN from the white tag beneath the notebook?

yes of course but i write to support HP and they send me this mail:

Dear Mr.Bordáč,

Thank you for purchasing an HP Notebook

It appears that your computer should be eligible for an upgrade to
Windows 7. We will have to investigate why your serial number is not
being accepted by our web shop. We will contact you as soon as we have a
solution for you.

Thank you for your patience!

With kind regards...

It sounds like you'll just need to wait for them to respond/contact you with the solution.  There's nothing we can do here in the forums.

I have the same notebook and same problem. After typing s/n and p/n is shown on the screen: "We are sorry, but the model number you have entered is not listed in our database." I bought me notebook on 07-07-2009 with Windows Vista Home Premium.

Hi there,

I have the exact same problem with an HDX16-1010EA, the form states that my model number is incorrect. But strangely, the form didn't ask for our model number did it? Just product number and serial number.

Really frustrating! Haven't heard from email support, will have to try ringing them on Monday I suppose.

Anyone managed to work around this?

Cheers.
