I orderd my free upgrade kit but had to exchange my laptop

HP Recommended

I bought a HP laptop in August, then because of several issues i exchanged it for the exact same type but already ordered my free windows 7 kit. I am wondering if my new laptop will still be able to use the kit, because i know that they took some information out of my exchanged laptop, i just don't know what they took.
