Nvidia 9600 gs need Windows 7 x64 drivers (IQ800t)

HP Recommended
I have an IQ800t with an Nvidia 9600 GS graphics card (512 mb) running the final version of Windows 7 x64.  I can't seem to find the video drivers though - when HP's support options don't seem to cover the IQ800t.  Anyone know where I could get the drivers?

have you tried any other iq800 vista driver? try this...

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv-70938-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

You'll need to unzip the exe and then run the src directory file setup manually...

that should get your card working under win 7...  you'll probably need to install the keyboard drivers too for the OSD, and multimedia stuff...

BTW I'm running win 7 x64 ultimate rtm version on my iq508a and is running like a dream!!!

I just realized this machine has a 9600M GS - not a standard 9600.  The mobile version isn't listed as a supported product for the link you posted, is there a mobile version available?  Sorry for the confusion.

hi adam,

i tried the drivers from nvidia web site, but none would work - i have the 9300M GS.  although the driver would install, i was getting an annoying screen flicker every 30 seconds or so.  I then downloaded the HP supplied Vista x64 driver and that resolved my problem.  Thats why i suggested that nosuch should try.

I'd be very interested though to here back from nosuch to let us know if the nvidia driver worked or not...

Glad to see that the Vista drivers worked, thanks for letting me know that the Nvidia drivers did not.

JimT, where did you find the unzipped files?  I download and ran the vista driver exe and waited for it to extract the files, but search couldn't find them anywhere.  Is there a utility you used or a special command line option?

I too get this 30second flicker on the screen with the WDDM1.1 driver.

Thanks

It is usually extracted to C:\NVIDIA.

Hi Mark,

I replied to your Touchsmart posting - please refer to that thread for the instructions,(you need to download and install winrar to extract the HP Driver from the exe file and then run the setup.exe file manually)...
