HP understands that Microsoft has released a Windows 8 Release Preview version. HP is not currently supporting
any Windows Release Preview operating system versions. If you have any questions about the Windows 8 Release Preview, please refer to the Microsoft’s web site at
http://www.microsoft.com/.

As I stated in my previouse post, you need to refer to that document, locate your printer and see what is available and when.

According to the document referenced, drivers for your device will be available Jan. 2013.

So, if we upgraded to Windows 8, we have to wait another month or so to print anything out? Had I only known. 😕

The page to which we are referred, above, indicates that a Windows 8 driver for my printer (P1005) will be ready "in late December of 2012." As of this writing (January 2013) there is still no solution, nor has anybody bothered to update the page promising a solution.

Would you please...

a) confirm that a driver is forthcoming and accurately forcast when that will happen, or...

b) complete the dissociation of HP from products and operating systems too time consuming to coordinate and remove the promise of a forthcoming driver from your website.

I don't have time to wait for HP to pretend to support their products; if you're not going to write a new driver, please just say so. I need a printer. Now.

It is February now. What is the new due date for this driver (P1005)?
