sleep

HP Recommended

I have a problem with sleep/hibernate etc.  I set the Stream 8 for 30 minutes in both Settings and Control Panel.  However if I look away for 5 to 10 minutes the tablet goes into sleep/hibernate and won't always wake up.  Sometimes if must force a power off and then restart.  I know that Windows 10 preview does not have hibernate.

Any Ideas?

Joe

Hi @losgatosjoetoo

I understand that you are having issues wth your system not waking from sleep/hibernate. I am happy to help with this.

I would recommend first checking in Device Manager, and searching for your keyboard among the devices.

Right click your keyboard, and select Properties.

From the Properties window, click on the Power Management tab

Make sure there is a check in the box for Allow this device to wake the computer

Also make sure there is not a check in the box to allow the system to power down the device to save power.

Now from within Control Panel, click on Troubleshooting

Under the heading System and Security, click on Improve power usage

Click Next to start the troubleshooter.

Once it is complete test and see if the problem remains.
