Hello. After updating my Windows yesterday the screen turned black after my sign in where I enter the pin. I could see my curser but everything else was black. The keyboard still lit up.
Today, after turning it on the screen turns blue after the HP logo appears. Task Manager will not open. The ONLY thing that will appear on the screen is my curser. Windows + R doesn't work, Windows + X doesnt work, unsure what to do.

Thank you for your response. I actually just got my laptop back yesterday. After trying so many things HP suggested, which didnt work, it turned out to be a $250 fix.
My memory failed and my OS crashed so I had to get it fixed. Its now working again!

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8. (Refer to the removable and sealed battery)
BIOS default:(do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
