HP Stream Laptop 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

So I have a HP Stream Laptop 14 which has Windows 10 and I’ve tried everything to reset it as I’m looking to sell it, but everytime I try it comes up with a message saying that an error has occurred and no changes were made. I’m not sure what I can try?

Hi @Katie29

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Create the installation media by downloading the Win 10 ISO file from here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

That's great, thank you.

I just tried to do this but then it says that I need an extra 8GB of storage,  I've deleted all my files and everything and uninstalled programmes, but then when I click on Storage it says that it is the System & Reserved that is taking up all of the space. So is there anything you could suggest for solving this?

Thank you.

Have you tried creating the recovery media using the media creation tool?

Once the recovery media is created, try these steps -

1) Turn off the computer.
2) Insert the recovery USB drive into a USB port on the computer and turn the computer back on.
3) Press F11 as soon as your computer turns on until your system loads System Recovery.
4) Click the language for your keyboard.

5) Click Troubleshoot.
6) On the Troubleshoot screen, click System Recovery.

Let me know.
