have done nothing with my notebook recently, now won't start, no power lite

I understand your concerns

 

Have you tried a different wall outlet to confirm it's not an issue with the outlet?

 

Since this is a Hardware issue I have sent you a private message with the next course of action

 

Please check your private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile.

 

Next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope

If the issue persists I suggest you contact our Phone Support for Service Options

 

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
