Pavilion 2x
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

We got this chrome notebook for our child perhaps more than a year ago as a starting computer and keyboarding purpose. The device was used for a few days and forgotten till yesterday when I tried everything under the skies with no luck. It seems like the unit does not have any charge after more than 20 hours being plugged in. Two tested chargers were tried. The 20 sec. procedure has not worked either. It sure seems HP no longer cares about it’s products, otherwise they would post some solution on their site to address this issue.

I’d be grateful if anyone shares a workaround for this before I throw it out the window.

@Theario

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Apologize for the inconvenience caused and I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This sounds like hardware related issue with the computer as it's not powering on.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

Note: Disconnect all the connected devices from the computer including power cord and try to turn it back on after few hours (sometimes this fixes the issue)

Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance. Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
