have a new HP 15 laptop and am working on setting it up, having problem with mouse.

I am setting up my new laptop and took my wireless mouse to use on it so I removed the little square from back of my desktop and put in my laptop it would not work until i removed the wireless square from back of my desktop and inserted into my laptop. my desktop is a Gateway wireless. Can I use the mouse this way and keep moving it back to my desktop   and then to the laptop?

If by Wireless square, you are referring to the wireless USB dongle for your wireless mouse, then, you can use it on both the notebook or desktop, or get another mouse for it and save yourself from the gymnastics 😉
