Hi,

Start the notebook and let Windows fully load.  Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In to the Run box type msconfig and hit enter.  In the System Configuration window, click the Start up tab, remove the tick next to each start up item and then click Apply to make the change.  Reboot the notebook for this change to take effect and see if your browsers all run Ok  If they do, re-enable one start up item ( start with your Security software ) at a time, click Apply and reboot then check if the browsers still run ok.  Keep doing this until you encounter the freezing problem with your browsers and you will know the last program you set to start with Windows is causing the issue.

Hi,

If this problem is with Internet Explorer, try resetting it as follows - be aware that this will remove Bookmarks and Saved Passwords etc.

Open windows Control Panel, open Internet Options, click the Advanced tab and then click the Reset button.  Click 'Yes' or 'Ok' to any further prompts required to complete the process.

Hi,

Shut down the notebook. Tap away at f8 as you start up to access Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select 'Safe Mode with Networking' and hit enter.  Let windows fully load in this mode and then see if the browsers still freeze - only choose a known 'safe site' such a Microsoft or HP as your security software will not be running while in this mode.  To exit Safe Mode, simply restart the notebook in the usual way and Windows will start normally.

Let me know the result.

thanks for you help and giving me your time. I have one question: I removed the tick next to each startup & I have to re-enable one start up and reboot my notebook. But the question is when my notebook starts with the new startup and re-enable a new startup. Is it necessary to remove the tick from the other startup. So before the reboot in the startup tab only one startup item have to be ticked or what?

SORRY IF I'M wasting your Time 🙂

Hi,

You're welcome and it's a good question.

You should leave the previous start-up item ticked and each time you enable another one, leave the previous ones ticked - this way you are getting windows to start with one more item each time.

Best regards,

Thanks For your helping. The problem has finally been resolved. And when I was trying my browsers after the reboot I noticed that "compressedgamez.blogspot Community Toolbar" was taking too much time to load so I deleted + doing the startup things the problem Is solved now.

Btw All our family have HP laptops because we have confidence in the costumer service 😉
