Hi All,
We have just installed about 100 HP Elite Desk 800 G2 SFF PC's for our company. About 5 or 6 of the batch has had this same exact issue.
We have had constant issues with these 6 users display since the new PC's have been rolled out.
No errors, just freezing. We have noticed that when this freeze does happen, keyboard and mouse both lose all power and their lights even turn off. we have re-imgaed the affected PC's multiple times with no change of luck. We have updated graphics drivers, BIOS, chipset, still no solution at all.
Prior to this we had the G1 with no issues, we have confirmed it is not our image
We had HP come out to replace the motherboard(all of our g2's are still under warranty until 2019) for one of them and it seemed to solve our issue, yet now I cannot get HP to believe me that it is a hardware issue again, so i have 5 very expensive paper weights.
If there is any other fix to this besides changing the motherboard please can someone help me figure this out or can an hp reperesentative send someone out to look at/replace the motherboards of the 5 remaining defective PC's.
Thank you very much
