Omen Headset 800
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I just bought a new Omen Headset 800 and am concerned it may be gray market or counterfeit.  I bought it from Woot (I understand they sometimes sell shady items), but this was listed as "New", so I figured it was safe.  Anyway, the box shows that it should include a warranty card (with a "W" icon) and states it has an "HP standard one-year limited warranty".  However, I could find no warranty card inside.  Also, I tried to register the warranty on the HP site, but that requires a serial number and I can't find one anywhere on the box or product.

Can anyone let me know what I've bought?  Is this a known problem that anyone's seen before?  I guess I'm trying to learn whether HP sells some of these headsets, but purposely leaves out the warranty card and serial number and, if so, why?  Can I somehow register and utilize, if needed, the warranty?

I may have to just deal with returning if HP clarifies that I'm on my own with this (I don't want to have paid for an illegitimate product).

Thanks!

Justin
