Just bought an expensive HP Spectre x360 13-ae003na 4K UHD Convertible Laptop, only to find that the Windows 10 Home it comes with is not good enough for most users. If I upgrade to Win 10 Pro using Microsoft Store, it will cost me around £120, which is unacceptable after having spent a fortune on a shiny new laptop.
Is there a cheaper way of upgrading to Windows 10 Professional that HP can offer please?
When we buy such a top-of-the-range laptop (HP calls it Premium range), we expect it work seamlessly out-of-the-box without having to go about fixing the operating system before we can get useful work done. No one buys such an expensive laptop only to browse the Internet, edit basic documents or watch movies. Why can HP not provide the Pro version of the OS as a standard on high-spec laptops?
