Hi I have a very simlar problem .  The differece I have is that when I first start up wifi connection is not present.  If I shut down the computer and restart it the connection reapears and I can connect to wifi as you would expect.  So far I have updated the bios,  deleted and installed Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter and tried to up date it.  I can replicate the problem every time.  The problem with my adapter also shows it self if I am working on the laptop over wifi, shut the lid and then open it the wifi adapter disappears.  Again if I shut down and restart it appears.  THe funny thing if I just re start the adapter does not show up. I have taken a series of screen shots when its not present and when it is.

Michael sorry to post on your post but it may help us to find out whats going on?
