Hi,

 

I've been trying to install a brand new dual-CPU Z6 G4 and during the installation I've ran into memory problems. I have eight 16 GB DDR4 modules which I want to install but so far I have not gotten the PC to work with them. Without the CPU riser board and the additional CPU, the system works fine with any amount of RAM ranging from 16 to 96 GB. However, if I install the riser board I'm only able to start the computer with exactly two memory modules in place (one for each CPU) and in that case the system only registers the 16 GB on CPU0. In the system diagnostic utility it only reports the state of the 6 memory slots for CPU0 (one filled, five empty as it should be) but for CPU1 there is no memory information at all. CPU1 itself reports just fine and works properly according to the diagnostics so this does not seem to be an issue with the riser board. Is there something that could cause the system not to register the additional memory slots on the riser board at all as that would explain the computer booting up with two memory modules but failing to do so with more than that?
