HP ProBook 470 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product: HP Probook 470 G3 laptop
Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 10 and Linux Ubuntu (64)
Problem definition: No Visual Access To BIOS

Hi, HP community people,
One day when I power on the laptop it initially show "Entering 3rd Party Option ROM Management.." on the screen and after that some lines of code, drivers, network and devices other things and Exited.
And on the next reboot our computer is now with - No More Visual Access To BIOS

We tried to solve the problem by:

Most common fixing methods:
Disconnecting power cables, battery, pressing power key for long time.
Trying different combinations with ESC key and F1,F2, ..... F8, F9, F10, .... keys
to flash the BIOS menu visual

And more advance solutions by:

1. Trying to reset the BIOS to last working version of the BIOS by:
Pressing Power button + Win Key + B (and V) as subscribed by HP tech support

2. Updating the BIOS firmware as suggested by HP support for flashing the ROM;
a) From within Windows internally with HP BIOS update software and
b) From USB external drive with HP BIOS update software by pressing (Power button + Win Key + B )

3. By using HP provided diagnosing software with out any lack.

We know that the bios firmware is not full updated on all ROMs chips (Video Bios ROM for example ) and the BIOS software is working, but is not visually accessible and we have no idea what the displayed standard menus and error messages are.

That is all. For now we are learning how temporary to use the computer with no visual access at booting and no de-facto access to BIOS software (which is made for mouse only slicking ).

We know that HP have bootable software (for full update off all firmware ) for fixing commercial systems hardware and firmware problems (and online solutions for fixing HP servers and other enterprise and commercial computers), but not for home users.

We did not tried yet is:

To complicity disassemble the notebook and disconnect the motherboard battery in order to flash some Option ROM memory out if it is possible.

To get somehow HP professional bootable (CD, DVD or USB ) software tools and utilities for fixing firmware and hardware problems.

To use some kind of hacking approaches on the HP firmware and ROM chips and restore our computer to show up visually the BIOS menu and that way it to become accessible.

To start a law case

or ?????

Any help, ideas and suggestions will be appreciated.

Andy
