Product Name : HP Pavilion 15-e002au
Factory Shipped OS : Windows 8 64 Bit
Upgraded to - Windows 10
My laptop hard drive had a mechanical failure. The system diagnostic test failed for Smart DST Check.I replaced the faulty hard drive with a new 1TB 2.5 inch SATA Seagate 5400 rpm HDD.
After connecting the new drive, I tried to perform recovery using recovery media. But the HP recovery manager pops an error "Restoration Incomplete"
CTOError.flg
There might be unexpected reboot during Factory Update
The process will cause CTP panic because the image might not be normal
PS Note :
1) I upgraded and flashed my BIOS to version F39 which is latest.
2) Im not sure if in BIOS Prompt, will the newly connected drive be listed. In my case, the drive doesn't show up in BIOS.
Steps tried.
1) I tried changing date to 01/01/.2012 in BIOS as per old suggestions given in the community.
Please help.
