HP Omen laptop 15', i7700HQ, 1050TI 4gb, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD.
Age: nearing 2nd lifeyear.
Since a few weeks my gaming notebook started to underperform on games that I used to play for a long time (CSGO, Forza Horizon 4, Apex Legends, ... you name it).
It struggles to keep the 60 fps since a few weeks, it hitches in fps and sometimes even freezes for half a sec. I haven't changed any settings and from the beginning till then, this pc did a really good job at running games. The settings on all games were all set to get an easy 60 fps without stressing the pc too much. I have updated my drivers and my system as well. Storage on both disks are not full (50gb SSD left, this is use for my University studies (so .docx, .ppt, anything besides games) and my HDD still has 367GB open as well(this I do use for games, music storagen, ...).
The laptop is always plugged in when gaming and is set to the highest performance. Power plans haven't changed.
While gaming I only run vital apps, so I don't have other (useless) (big) consuming apps running in the background.
Overall the pc is underperforming. I tried to use Razer Cortex but this doesn't help either.
Any suggestions ? If further information is needed please do ask! I'll provide them ASAP.
Thanks in advance,
Pharantax
