We have several HP EliteBook's 840 G5 and G6 that get stuck on Sure Start after installing Windows updates. They are running Windows 10 x64 - 1809 and the last time it happens was after installing the "2019-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4530715)".
We only see this behavior on systems running Windows 10 Version 1809, the ones that are on 1803 don't have this issue.
We are deploying the updates via SCCM and in the logs we see that the update installed correctly, but after a reboot they get stuck on the Sure Start screen. The only way to recover is to boot in Safe Mode and then the last installed update is removed automaticly. Afterwards we can install the same update without any issue.
