I created an account because I have the issue. I have an HP Omen laptop with a 2070 Max-Q card. After some update it will not recognize the 2070 card anymore (it shows up as unplugged in device manager). I even reset Windows but then after the same update the same thing happened again and it is only using the built in card and does not even detect the Nvidia card anymore, even the Nvidia drivers do not detect the Nvidia card anymore.
I am pretty sure a certain Windows/HP(WIndows update also updated some HP drivers) update is causing this, not sure which one. Please look into this, I have this laptop for only 2 weeks and already having issues. Resetting/reinstalling Windows does not help, after that certain update the Nvidia card will no longer show up. I want to like this laptop, and I kind of do, but this issue is driving me nuts, and because more people have the same problem I suspect it really is caused by a certain update.
