Product: DesignJet Z3200
My Z3200 performs an extensive and time-consuming fsck on boot up. While a previous thread talked in length about the hdd on the formatter board failing (*gulp*) I found a post elsewhere that pointed the finger at the little CR2032 battery on the formatter board. I pulled the board popped out the battery and put a voltmeter on it - 0v. Replaced the battery - massively cheaper and more direct than replacing the formatter and all is well as far as the boot up is concerned.
First thing to check with fsck on boot up is the battery!!
