Product: HP Elite 8300 CMT
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The front panel of my HP Elite 8300 CMT has two audio jacks. One shows a headphone symbol, the other both headphone and microphone symbols. I have been trying to get my headset (so headphone/microphone combo) to work on the latter, but I cannot get it to work.

 

Is the jack with both the headphone and microphone symbols  not a headset port? Is it only headphone or microphone?

 

Is my only solution and splitter that uses both jacks, one for headphone and one for microphone?
