I have owned this laptop for 6 months.
Whenever I start a game, it runs fine for the first hour or two. But afterwards it either drops frames or gets lower framerates in general. This happens when plugged in. Months ago the same games were running flawlessly. I have tried numerous solutions i've read, including
-BIOS Update
-Reinstalling GPU Drivers
-Reinstalling the games
-Ensured all unnecessary programs (including startup) are not open when I'm playing
-Scanned for Malware (detected none, tested with McAfee, Kaspersky, and Malwarebytes)
-Defragged Hard Drives
I've also ensured my drivers are always up to date and my laptop is propped up on a book to ensure good airflow underneath. Nvidia control panel settings are also set to push the best performance.
The only thing that works so far is if i restart my laptop. My thermals are fine (CPU 75-90 and GPU 60-70 Celsius) and my hard drives are still spacious. It seems as though i've tried everything and it doesn't work. I have no idea where to go now.
My specs:
i7-9750H
GTX 1660Ti
8GB 2666Mhz RAM
NVMe 256GB SSD @ 60% Full
7200RPM HDD @ 50% Full
Any help will be appreciated.
