HP ENVY x360 Convertible PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This morning, my speakers didn't work. I tried restarting, etc. to no avail. I ran the Troubleshooter in the sound settings of the PC. It said I needed to uninstall and reinstall the driver. I began the process. Of course, it needed to restart the computer to finish the process, so I did that. When it booted back up, it no longer can detect a device for speakers....and now the mic is missing too. I went to the HP Support page and downloaded/installed both RealTek drivers that were listed under Audio after I had the HP site detect my PC info.  There is still nothing listed under speaker options for output, and nothing listed under mic options either. Now a box pops up about every 3 minutes from Bang and Olufsen titled SmartAudio saying "A Conexant audio device cannot be found. The application will now exit." I am a teacher, so I need my mic and speakers to be able to do virtual learning and recording things for my students during this pandemic. I would appreciate any solution options you can give me. All I did was follow the directions that the HP assistant thing told me to do....now the problem is worse. At least I still had a mic before!
