During normal usage, I received a "Cartridge Problem" indicating that the black cartridge needed removed and replaced. Replaced the black cartridge with a new HP black cartridge. Now there is an error that both cartridges need to be removed and replaced. Replaced the new HP black cartridge with a new XL cartridge and replaced the color cartridge with a new XL cartridge. "Cartridge Problem" continues to indicate that both cartridges need to be removed and replaced. This has been performed repeatedly. A large percentage of forum postings seem to be "Solved!" with replacement Instant Ink. I do not subscribe to Instant Ink. Contacts have been cleaned. Power removal/discharge cycling has been performed. Downloaded program to update firmware and while the software recognizes the printer, it fails to update the printer. In to this for $200+ in cartridges, which exceeds the $179 current sale price of the printer. Disappointed that I am unable to even scan with the "cartridge problem". Looking for a fix. Thanks.
