Product: Photosmart 7520
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hey,
I am using Windows 10 Pro, version 2004, in 64 bit version.
I have had to uninstall my HP printer software due to printer problems. I have removed the software via the windows option to remove software. So in a normal way.
When reinstalling the software (suitable for Windows 10 64 bits) I get an error message:
"installation error: InstallCustomActions: DIFxAPI.dll is NOT installed"
I then searched for this file on my c: drive and found it in many directories. Also in the C: \ windows \ system32 folder.
After some internet searching I tried registering file again in command prompt with the command regsvr32.
I then get the following message:
"Difxapi.dll module loaded, but DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. Make sure difxapi.dll is a valid DLL or OCX file, then try again.
I have no idea what to try now. So any help is welcome!
