I downloaded this file (sp52598.exe) from the HP website to update/fix the BIOS on my laptop Compaq Presario CQ62. I downloaded this file to a working computer to be able to do a Recovery USB flash drive by following the guide on the HP website. https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c02693833
Once I downloaded the file (sp52598.exe) which I got from the HP website, https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers/selfservice/compaq-presario-cq62-400-notebook-pc-series/4346201...
I proceeded to run it but as soon as I double click on it to run it, I got a pop up saying:
"THIS APP HAS BEEN BLOCKED FOR YOUR PROTECTION"
"An administrator has blocked you from running this app" "for more information contact the administrator"
"((PUBLISHER UNKNOWN))"
I am the administrator, it's my computer. So I could not create the Recovery USB flash drive to be able to fix my broken HP laptop.
I downloaded the (sp52598.exe) file to my working computer which has Windows 10 running. So I don't understand why I got that pup up blocking me to run the app to create the Recovery USB.
Any idea?
thanks
