Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hi... my printer has started giving a Paper Jam error message after practically every print... tells me I need to open the back door and clear the jam - there is no jam... open the door, close it and the printer restarts - and will then print... once more.

 

It's clearly a faulty sensor, but I don't know where to start looming - any ideas?
