Replaced both black and color ink cartridges with new. Immediately get "Ink Cartridge Problem" on printer, which means it won't let me do anything. It says the color cartridge needs to be replaced. Went out and bought brand new ink cartridge, as one I had used previously had been in a desk drawer for a couple of years. Installed brand new cartridge, still get error message. Unplugged and replugged. Didn't help. Cleaned electrical contacts on printer and cartridge with isopropyl alcohol. Didn't help. Updated firmware. Didn't help. Tried installing the last cartridge I had in printer before this started. Still get error message. I'm thinking that something is wrong with the contacts in the printer, but don't understand why it worked one minute and the next minute it didn't.
