I am an engineering student and I have the HP 360 spectre. The warranty ended and suddenly the charging port lets out fume and the laptop doesn’t charge anymore. I read a lot of bad reviews but I didn’t want to believe them because the laptop was amazing until this happened. I took it to get checked up and it turns out the laptop needs a motherboard change even though the laptop still turns on. Why would I need a new motherboard replacement if it’s the port that broke?! There are no dollars in Lebanon and they say that it costs 320$ for the store to get the motherboard or I can get the motherboard. Where can I find a motherboard that doesn’t cost the equivalent of my mom’s salary in dollars during this crisis? Is it at least guaranteed? I’m going on exchange to another university abroad in a couple of weeks and I cannot go without a laptop and I most definitely cannot afford to buy a new one. So, the motherboard cannot fail me after one week of purchasing it. I am really disappointed that a really good laptop is impossible to be fixed! I would really appreciate a quick response.
