When trying to install new Red Ink Cartridge, printer gives message "Defective Cartridge". "Printing is unavailable because the indicated cartridges are defective. Visit www.hp.com/contactHP immedicately to get a a replacement." I have tried 4 new Red ink cartridges - all in "Genuine" HP Ink" boxes and the same message happens every time. I complained about this in December and a case - 5057984745 - was opened and closed before I even knew about the the "case". I got an email telling me to download the trouble shooter, and run that and that I was eligible for ''replacement" cartridges. Set my printer to grey scale and just print black and white. I never received any "replacement" cartridges, but purchased more red ones, none of which will work.
I purchased this printer in June, 2019, and have put in many ink cartridges in the time I have had it, and printed many pages. The printer is out of warranty, and if I can't find a way to get the ink cartridge changed, I'm just stuck with a lot of red ink, and looking for a new printer.
