Product: Pavilion 6G

One morning I opened up the computer and there was a black screen that says ‘windows boot manager’  at the top and then it says windows failed to start a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. It also says the windows boot configuration data file is missing required information… None of the steps offered on HP support have worked and it passed all the diagnostic tests.  Now I’m wondering if this could be a bug, But I hope not I hope maybe I just didn’t do something correctly I do not have an installation disk and the computer is unresponsive when I hit escape or enter.  I said no one out there had this experience for you know what might be going on and what the fix for it is?  Thanks!
